Also, if you haven't watched Wipeout, I'd suggest it. I laughed out loud while I watched it by myself. It you like watching that English dubbed Japanese game show that used to come on SpikeTV, you'll love this. It's not quite as funny, but it is still awesome. It's a mix between Most Extreme Challenge and Nickelodeon Guts. MONEY!

My Olympic Dreams
You'll have to forgive me, but I'm a little bitter. Every 2 years, I begin to feel some resentment towards Bob and Kay, aka my parents. I am right now watching the swimming qualifiers and I wish I had done something like that with my life. The only kind of lessons I took in elementary school were piano (7 years) and tennis (3 summers). Perhaps I would have been Kerri Strug (I'm too tall.) Maybe Amanda Beard (nah.) Oh well.
Take these broken wings...
I decided to get a season pass on TiVo for Wings, the fantastic show featuring the Hackett brothers and that zany airplane mechanic Lowell. It has been a delight to see this show that was one of my favorites throughout my junior high and high school days.

June Playlist
Can I just tell you that this is my favorite playlist I've made? I've listened to it almost too much. I believe that almost all of the songs make me smile as I listen to them. So I've decided to make it a celebrity playlist (because I do have my own reality show) complete with explanations...just like iTunes!
Sing Along - Virginia Coalition
I'm not sure how I found this one. But I LOVE IT!
Madly - Tristan Prettyman
I like her voice. I am hoping she'll tour here soon.
Everybody Knows - Ryan Adams
Ryan Adams = Good
Believe - The Bravery
I turn this one up loud and roll down my windows.
Shout Out Loud - Amos Lee
Haley's ringtone has been this since I moved here. The whole song is good, not just the few lines I knew from that.
Supernatural Superserious - R.E.M.
I remember listening to my brother's REM "Out of Time" tape while unloading the dishwasher. They were good then and are good now.
Sweet & Low - Augustana
The first Augustana cd was great. I am still deliberating getting this one. However, this song brings a grin.
I'm Yours - Jason Mraz
So Mraz is great in concert. So Mraz's 2nd cd was not so good. So this Mraz song is great.
Pictures of You - The Last Goodnight
This song reminds me of something but I'm not sure what it is. I like it.
Feels Like Tonight - Daughtry
I'll admit it...I like Daughtry. At least, I like the songs he's released.
Homecoming - Kanye West
This is a great song. Chris Martin in backup and the egomaniac himself on the lead.
Untamed - Gavin Degraw
Gavin's old and new CDs make me happy. Nothing special, just fun.

My Left Foot
Read this...

I am pretty sure you'd know who the victims are if you saw someone hopping down the street.

Poncho v. Bandit - A Match of Elemental Proportions
Picture it...Saturday, June 14, 2008. Ridgeland Tennis Center, Ridgeland, Mississippi
Bob and I decided to go try our hand at the game of tennis. Bob played a good bit of tennis in high school and college, or so I now hear. I am currently taking lessons, as I'm sure you've read. So we ventured to the courts Saturday morning around 9 am. Now, you might think that Bob was given the chance to play with a wooden racket or an aluminum racket, he'd choose the aluminum one. You'd be wrong. He went with the same racket he played with last...the wooden Poncho Gonzales Spalding. It's a good half size smaller than my racket, the Bandit. So we jaunt out to the tennis center. I ask for a court not near anybody else...they are pretty booked up. But the nice lady gave us a court that was had no one directly by it. We don't want to embarrass ourselves, right? So out we go the court and luckily, there is a court between us and 4 guys playing doubles. We're pretty much just trying to keep it on our court. No actual game was played. Just a lot of hitting the ball back and forth. A couple came in and took the court in the middle. This made me uber-nervous. They actually played a match, and hit it on our court more than we did theirs. Anyway, that pretty much says it all...
Oh, and if you were to call out "Hey, Bird Legs McDonnell!" both my dad and I would turn and look. You see I've not seen my dad's legs in over 20 years. He had to go buy a pair of shorts for this outing. He is deathly afraid of skin cancer. He wears fatigues when he's mowing the lawn, flannel shirts at football games in September. Needless to say, his legs have not seen the sun since I was a kid.

Alfie is a ladies man
Alfie is the missionaries adopted son from South Africa for those of you that do not know. He's a ham...love him. Well this little girl above is Nondu, and I promise she and Alfie will marry one day. The other day he kissed her on the mouth, not joking and she just kind of looked at him and he said "oops sorry". Ha ha I witnessed their first kiss, Alfman can get away with anything.
Then on the plane ride from Cape Town back to Pretoria one of the flight attendants kept giving Alfie all of this stuff. Then when she made her speech before everyone got off the plane she said over the speaker the boy in row G4 have fun at school tomorrow and be good to your teachers. Isn't that presh. She also said for us to take everything from the plane that was ours unless it was a wallet or ruby's and such. She then asked the women in J5 to leave her boyfriend behind. It was possibly the greatest exiting from the plane speech I've ever heard.
Anyway theres my funny story check my other blog for more info. Love you all

Where a Kid can be a Thug?
I used to love the flapping eyelids and jaws of the animals at Chuck-E-Cheese's. I didn't like it however when Chuck and his friends came out to take pictures. Is this what kids are seeing the Chuck-E-Cheese bands perform now? What happened to "Elvira"?
and this one is especially money...
