A Letter from my Ears

Dear Lightning 100,

Since I moved to Nashville in the summer of 2007, I have had you in the most prized position on my radio dial that any radio station could have. I've loved listening to your wide, eclectic range of music, never knowing what you might play next. It really was unlike anything I'd ever heard.

So what gives? I think you know what I'm talking about. Your music selection has taken a nose dive of late and it is no good.  You were a shining beacon of awesomeness. You were a point of pride for Nashville, right up there under the Ryman and above Las Paletas. Although I have a good number of songs on my iPod, I would often listen to my radio instead on my morning and afternoon commutes. It was a testament to your goodness. Now every time I turn on the radio I hear the same song...and it's not even a good song.

At first I thought it was just me. But I've heard my friends offer up the same opinion unsolicited. We've all decided something must have happened to you. Did you get bought out? Did you change producers? Did you lose your mind? We're willing to forgive you and listen all the time if you'd just go back to normal.

Let's go back to the good old days.

Your friend,

Sarah

P.S. Oh, and I do the Listener Surveys.
