Let's discuss...Balloon Boy

If you haven't heard of the kid who possibly flew in a ballon, you have been living under a rock, or maybe up in a balloon. It captured the attention of the nation late last week. Recap: A Colorado boy was thought to have climbed into the "weather" balloon he and his father had been working on and flown away. Helicopters and other law enforcement followed the floating balloon until it landed and Lo! and Behold! nothing was in it but a bunch of hot air...the same thing that was in this story from the beginning.

It's now come out that it was a hoax, a stupid ploy some dumb father used to get on TV. Well he succeeded. My thought is...We know that he did it for the publicity so shouldn't we not give him what he wants? Why are we still talking about it? Hasn't he won? I think the obvious choice for punishment is to send this joker up in a weather balloon over the Colorado mountains and see what happens. Then make him so nervous that he throws up on national TV.

Listen, balloon boy dad. You really sucked this one up. You could have told everybody that you climbed into the balloon but instead you had the whole country worried about your little boy. Now we worry for him because we think you are incompetant in your parenting skills and possibly abusive....not to mention the fact that this poor kid will always be known as the kid who threw up on national TV and all for nothing....he didn't even really ride in the balloon. You've really screwed the pooch on this one.

Your friend,

Sarah
